Pakistan players get IPL snub, still Aman ki Asha anyone?
Snubbing of all Pakistani players during the IPL auction comes as nothing less than a sucker punch for ‘Aman ki Asha’ campaign. This rather humiliating saga has renewed hatred and mistrust between Pakistan and India. Obvious questions are being asked by every cricket fan in Pakistan, how come all of the eleven Pakistani players put up for auction got no takers? We’re World T20 champions after all, we may not be performing well in Test cricket lately, but T20 is definitely our thing.
IPL commissioner Lalit Modi and the franchise owners may give all sorts of vague explanations, but it is very obvious that there is a massive conspiracy behind this. In Pakistan, the IPL snub is surely going to reach, and subsequently frustrate, much more people than Jang Group would have ever done with its Aman ki Asha initiative. In short, the damage done by such frequent incidents is far greater than good done by these independently run peace campaigns. The lesson learnt is same, peace cannot be achieved until and unless the key players in both countries are serious about it.
As for Pakistan, its time to take a stand, send a clear and strong message, we will not be cornered like this! The recipe is very simple: Ban telecast of IPL in Pakistan! This will surely bring IPL profits down as Pakistan is one of the major markets for cricket broadcasting.

I was on Yahoo and found your blog. Read a few of your other posts. Good work. I am looking forward to reading more from you in the future.
