IPL Season 3 starts today, but blackout in Pakistan

2010 version of Indian Premier League (IPL) starts today. While cricket fans around the World are looking forward to the competition, the mood is quite different in Pakistan, home of the the raining T20 World champs. Canada 3-2 Pakistan: An all-time low for Pakistan hockey!

Canada has beaten Pakistan 3-2 to clinch 11th position in Hockey World Cup. Pakistan finishes on 12th spot, which is an all time low for the Greenshirts. Pakistan’s worst performance before this was in 1986 World cup when they finished 11th.
Pakistan team, which clearly looked jaded and unambitious throughout the match, lost lead lead twice before Canada scored the decisive golden goal in extra time. Mian Mansha becomes first Pakistani to make it to Forbes billionaire list

Every year Forbes publishes various lists ranging from World’s most powerful people to best education institutes in US. Pakistan’s richest man, Mian Muhammad Mansha has made it to Forbes Billionaire List. He is the first Pakistani to do so, and Forbes estimates with net worth around $1 billion. Mian Mansha, Chairman & CEO Nishat Group, MCB Bank, is the 937th richest person in the World.
The Forbes details Mansha’s history and achievements which include being the largest exporter of cotton clothes, and the largest private employer in Pakistan.
