Mian Mansha becomes first Pakistani to make it to Forbes billionaire list

Every year Forbes publishes various lists ranging from World’s most powerful people to best education institutes in US. Pakistan’s richest man, Mian Muhammad Mansha has made it to Forbes Billionaire List. He is the first Pakistani to do so, and Forbes estimates with net worth around $1 billion. Mian Mansha, Chairman & CEO Nishat Group, MCB Bank, is the 937th richest person in the World.
The Forbes details Mansha’s history and achievements which include being the largest exporter of cotton clothes, and the largest private employer in Pakistan.
It is to good to see a Pakistani making headlines for the right reasons, but at the same time one must not overlook the fact that over the years the rich in Pakistan have multiplied their wealth, while the number of number of people under poverty line keeps increasing on daily basis.
